The information and communication technology minister, Faqir Mahbub Anam, on Tuesday told the Jatiya Sangsad that work is underway to revise a development project proposal to establish computer labs in 1,000 educational institutions across the country in the next financial year.
Anan made the disclosure while replying to a starred question from Noakhali-6 lawmaker Abdul Hannan Masud during the third sitting of the second session of the 13th Jatiya Sangsad.
Responding to the minister, Hannan Masud urged the government to address the acute shortage of specialised teachers currently managing the existing digital labs in schools.
The session was chaired by the speaker, Hafiz Uddin Ahmed.
